One of the world’s leading universities, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology is a major force in providing for Israel’s physical and economic security. Known as “start-up nation,” Israel has the third-largest presence on the NASDAQ, and Technion has played an indispensable role in contributing to this significant achievement. Through its ongoing support of the school, the David and Janet Polak Foundation is investing in Israel’s strength and health, highlighting our use of philanthropy as a tool for long-term investment. David and Janet have previously endowed a university chair and help establish a campus-based cancer center; the foundation is currently funding a new world-class visitor’s center.

CEDARS-SINAI MEDICAL CENTER

Early on, the David and Janet Polak Foundation identified Cedars-Sinai’s Board of Governors Regenerative Medicine Institute as occupying a space at the cutting-edge of global medical discovery. Scientists at the institute are utilizing stem cells to develop treatments for some of the most devastating illnesses, from ALS (Lou Ghrig’s disease), macular degeneration and lung disease to pancreatic cancer, Alzheimer’s disease and more. Our foundation is proud to lead at the forefront of investment in revolutionary medicine.
